Hey Student Groups!

I apologize for the mass email, but I'm hoping to get your help in
promoting a public lecture that will be happening on campus on May 17
- "Angels & Demons: The Physics Behind the Movie". I'm hoping all of
the groups in this email will be interested in this lecture. Details
are below (and a poster is attached... you should be seeing these up
around campus soon). I would be grateful if you could forward the
following email on to students registered with your group (if you
think they will be intereseted, of course!). The lecture is in the
large 500 seat lecture theatre in the new CCIS building, and we would
love to be able to fill it. The lecture should appeal to students in
the sciences and engineering, students with an interest in outreach
activities or education, or anyone who has read/seen "Angels &
Demons".

If you have any questions, please send me an email!

Thanks in advance,

Logan Sibley
President
Graduate Physics Student Association

------------

A small amount of antimatter has been stolen from CERN by the
Illuminati, an ancient, secret brotherhood that threatens to use the
material to blow up the Vatican in an ultimate plot of revenge... Can
they be stopped?

Dr. Rolf Landua, CERN Head of Education and Public Outreach, will be
at the University of Alberta on Tuesday, May 17 to deliver a very
interesting talk "Angels & Demons: The Physics Behind the Movie",
where he will unravel the true mystery behind antimatter and its place
in our universe. Parts of the film were actually shot on site at CERN,
and Dr. Landua was the physics adviser to film director Ron Howard and
his crew! I hope you will all mark the event in your calendars and
forward this message to anyone you think might be interested.

Keep in mind, this is a FREE event!

Who:     Dr. Rolf Landua, CERN
What:    Public Lecture - "Angels & Demons: The Physics Behind the Movie"
When:   Tuesday, May 17, 2011 - 6:00pm
Where:  CCIS Lecture Theatre - 1-430
Why:     Because who doesn't like learning about cool physics and the
way it is used by Hollywood...?

This public lecture is being sponsored by both the University of
Alberta and the Telus World of Science.

I hope to see you there!
