Role :: iOS Developer

Location :: Plano, TX

Duration :: 12+ Months

Job Description ::

Role Responsibilities:

• Providing guidance and recommendations on product architecture, development processes, code guidelines, and development tools

• Contributing to the selection and growth of a top-notch development team, then leading that team through the full SDLC

• Defining interfaces and reviewing code for adherence to standards and methodologies

• Build new and innovative product features and apps

• Build prototypes to test new concepts

• Maintain high level performance quality

• Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems

• Collaborate with designers and engineers alike

• Write clean, stable, unit-tested code and accompanying documentation where needed

Candidates must:

• Have passion to design, build and polish great, simple, fun mobile applications

• Be driven to succeed & be self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision or hand-holding

• Be comfortable working independently and owning one to multiple appsfrom start to finish

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• 7 - 10 years of experience in software programming

• 4+ years of iOS mobile application development

• At least 3 published applications in the iTunes Store available for immediate download and review by our team

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience

• Passionate about solving customer problems with innovative mobile solutions

• Expert knowledge of iOS SDK framework

• Expert knowledge of Swift 2, Objective-C, REST, XML, and JSON

• Expert in Core Services, Media and Cocoa Touch frameworks, developer tools (Xcode), and workflows (both manual memory management and ARC, debugging, profiling, unit testing, continuous integration, provisioning, distributing and submission to the App Store)

• Intimately familiar with iOS design patterns and coding conventions as well as Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and App Store Review Guidelines

• Expert understanding of networking, local data caching and multitasking on iOS

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Experience leading projects and overseeing other iOS developers

• Appreciate great design and thrive in a creative environment

• Extensive experience detecting and correcting memory usage issues as well as optimizing code for application performance

• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and high reliability

• Lead software code reviews to ensure the creation of high-quality, robust code by all team members

•

Bonus points:

• Retail ecommerce experience

• Development experience with other mobile platforms (e.g. Android)

• Experience with BLE and Arduino

• Experience with game development

• Agency experience

• Ability to develop APIs is a big plus.
