Put simply, Bluetooth is a short-range-radio technical standard for protocols that facilitate communication between wireless devices such as mobile phones, PDAs (personal digital assistants) and handheld computers, and wireless computers and peripherals.

The Bluetooth wireless mouse and the Bluetooth wireless mobile phone headset are good examples. Switch on your Bluetooth-enabled phone and it can quickly be paired up with a Bluetooth-enabled headset. A Bluetooth mouse doesn't need wires to move the curser about your screen and execute commands.

Another interesting twist is that 'voice biometrics' can be an effective way to determine who's driving the vehicle. Once voice recognition technology is installed in a car it can be used to personalize the vehicle, setting seat position, radio stations, etc. to the driver's preferences.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a bluetooth device that does not require an pc with operating system or any drivers?

BlueSoleil want 30 Euros for a driver, but for that amount of money I could buy at least 2 dongles, inclusive Vista Drivers here in Denmark. That's a lame company, and they don't get any more support from me. I have already found the next dongle I want to buy, with better support, and one thing is sure, it isn't BlueSoleil. When I find some drivers that's work, I'll provide u with links. F*ck their piracy policy to give away free BT dongles, that's why their drivers is so expensive, I guess?

if anyone can tell me how to use the mouse as my bluetooth device (explained above) There is no on off switch or "button" to push for the bluetooth on the mouse although it came with a usb like port and works fine. Don't know the actual style of mouse I have either. Just know the usb tucks into bottom of device for storage.

Alicia, This could be hard to find. It may be worth your while to go to our device drivers site www.drivers.com and subscribe. The email and telephone support you get may be essential. Also you can use the service to upgrade other drivers as well.

I have sony Vaio NR series Laptop. I have purchased Bluetooth Soleil dongle and driver in which mentioned suitable for vista.But during installation at one stage it is being stopped showing cannot add audio device and installation not completed. Is there any solution pls advice me.

I have technxt bluetooth dongle. Havin hardware of conwise technology and software(driver) of bluesoleil. Bluesoleil software is only restricted for 5MB only that males problem when i connect to internet. Please help me to find other driver or software that works without askin to upgrade

I bought a cheap blue tooth dongle - company name "ENTER" and am not able to use this device in my computer. A CD came with this but even after installing the drivers from the CD it is not able to find my devices such as mobile phones and laptops even at 3 feet distance. Can any body please send me a simple driver for this device. The CD installs a number of drivers to recognise Headphones, etc.
