about nav-item on index.php page

How to make nav-item to be in active default mode.

I remove collection guide nav-item from my index.php page.

I try to make the subject guide nav-item class in default active mode. How to do this?

Could you please share more details: are you using the old or new default theme? Do you have a sandbox link you could share?
