English Translation of Al-Quran
[56] Surah Al-Waqi’ah [The Event]
Ayat 68. Tell Me! The water that you drink.
Ayat 69. Is it you who cause it from the rain clouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down?
Ayat 70. If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)?
Tafseer of Surah Al-Waqi’ah Ayat 68 to 70. See ye the water which ye drink? 69. Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud, or do We? 70. Was it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? The mystery of the two streams of water, one sweet and the other salt, constantly mingling, and yet always separate, is referred to more than once. The never-ending circuit is established by streams and rivers mingling with the ocean, the ocean sending forth mists and steam through a process of evaporation which forms clouds, and the clouds by condensation pouring forth rain to feed the streams and rivers again: see 55:19, and the further references given there.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "I do not think that so-and-so understands anything of our Faith.''
[Al-Bukhari Book 08, Chapter 73, Hadith # 93]
Al-Bukhari said: Hazrat Al-Laith bin Saad (May Allah be pleased with him), who is one of the narrators of this Hadith, said: The two men mentioned by the Prophet ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) in this Hadith were hypocrites (i.e., they revealed Faith and concealed disbelief).
Lesson: as mentioned above in Surah Muhammad ﷺ Peace be upon him] Ayat 16. “They say to those who have received knowledge: "What has he said just now? Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and they follow their lusts (evil desires). Hypocrites are also people of mischievous and doubtful conduct. It is, therefore, not only permissible but necessary to make people aware of their real position so that people become cautious about them and their religious and worldly life may remain safe from their machinations.
