S-61 Ayat 013.jpg

English Translation of Al-Quran

[61] Surah As-Saff [The Rows]

Ayat 13. And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love, help from Allah (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad  [SAWW](PBUH) to the believers.

Tafseer of Surah As-Saff (The Rows) Ayat 13. And another (favour will He bestow,) which ye do love,- help from Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad Tidings to the Believers. The supreme Achievement has already been mentioned, viz.: the Gardens of Eternity in the Presence of Allah. But lest that seem too remote or abstract for the understanding of men not spiritually advanced, another type or symbol or metaphor is mentioned which the men who first heard this Message could at once understand and appreciate-"which ye do love": viz.: Help and Victory. For all striving in a righteous Cause, we get Allah's help: and however much the odds against us may be, we are sure of victory with Allah's help. But all life is a striving or struggle-the spiritual life even more than any other; and the final victory there is the same as the Garden of Eternity.

Hadith # 1229 (1).jpg

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Eat Suhoor (predawn meal). Surely, there is a blessing in Suhoor.''

[Al-Bukhari Book 03, Chapter 31, Hadith # 146].

Lesson : This Hadith tells us that Suhur is Masnun (Sunnah of the Prophet  (SAWW(PBUH)), even if one takes a small quantity of food. This meal is blessed and maintains one's energy and vitality during Saum. Against this, if a person goes to sleep after taking his dinner to save himself from the inconvenience of getting up before dawn or takes Suhur early will be, on one side, disobeying the Messenger of Allah  (SAWW)(PBUH) , while on the other side, he will be feeling hunger and thirst very early and very much as he himself has increased the period of fasting by not taking the Suhur. Subhan Allah! How the weaknesses of man have been taken into account in the teachings of Islam while suitable provision has been provided to overcome them!.
