English Translation of Al-Quran

[60] Surah Al-Mumtahanah [That Which Examines]

Ayat 9. It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zalimun (wrong-doers those who disobey Allah).

Tafseer of Surah Al-Mumtahanah (That Which Examines) Ayat 9. Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turning to them (in these circumstances), that is wrong.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who provides a fasting person something with which to break his fast, will earn the same reward as the one who was observing the fast, without diminishing in any way the reward of the latter.''

Lesson : As mentioned in Hadith, rewards for providing drink and food to fasting people are due for awesome returns and we must make arrangements for poor and needy persons to have food on their table and in return earn enormous rewards in this world and hereafter.
