Subclipse 4.3.0 Released

Steve and I got some free time around the end of the year and have managed to put together a new Subclipse release. The major change is the move to SVN 1.10 and 1.11. This required a small restructuring to the plugin packaging so that we could host more than one version on the update site. You can still only have one version installed and of course Eclipse will load the highest version, so if you install them both you will get 1.11.  This is mainly relevant for people on Linux or OSX as your JavaHL native library comes from your OS. So you want to install the version that matches the SVN client version you have installed. If you still need SVN 1.9.x then you need to stay on Subclipse 4.2.x.

Here is the full changelog for the release. We focused on the issues and pull requests that have been submitted on our project.

Just fyi ... we had an issue reported relating to the new SVNKit version:  https://github.com/subclipse/subclipse/issues/86

So we have rolled back the update site to the previous version.  The changes have been made so that you can install the newer version if you want to get it elsewhere, but I cannot recommend doing this until there is a fixed version available.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for a bug report, but I didn't find better!

Fresh installation of eclipse build id: 20181214-0600 on Opensuse Leap 15.0. Using gnome and jdk11.0.2, Subclipse 4.3.0.201901172050

SVNKit Client Adapter 1.8.12.3 with SVNKit Library 1.8.12.r10533_v20160129_0158

Problem on trying to connect to the svn server is, it hangs for ever after entering username and password!

JavaHL 1.11 can not be used, as first it's not windows and second the native library can not be found with jdk11.

No error log is available. It just hangs and eclipse must be killed with -9! ugly!

A real killer!

I'll try subversive now. I hope this works!
