Attempts to install subclipse actually end up corrupting my install somehow when done through the internal marketplace or by "drag & drop install".

The errors I get when attempting an install manually ( Help -> Install New Software ) :

[Multiple problems have occurred]
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core.ProvisionException

I've attached the log that's generated from the install attempt. (Thankfully this method does not corrupt my installation)

At this point, I'm wondering if there's a method of installing through the command-line. I have been able to install other packages with ease, but Subclipse is the first one I've had any issues with.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks!

I'm running Ubuntu 17.10 if that's relevant
