You may use a utility program for converting HPGL to PCX. For DOS,
there is an excellent program called PrintGL which is available
from SIMTEL20 (or wuarchive.wustl.edu) in PD1:<MSDOS.PLOT>PRTGL118.ZIP.
In the first place, you can _preview_ the HPGL file, many options
are offered. Then you can convert it to various output formats, e.g.
PCX (option /FZ), EPS, HP LJ II, III. Rotation may be necessary and
can be done (/On option). The PCX file has 100x100 dpi, so there
is some loss in either size or quality as compared to the direct
output on an HP LJ in high-resolution mode.
If you need to do further transforms with the PCX file, you may use, e.g.,
GRAFWK, available from the above-mentioned sources
(PD1:<MSDOS.GRAPHICS>GRAFWK60.ZIP).

gibt es ein Tool (moeglichst PD) mit dem man HP-GL Dateien in ein
beliebiges Bitmap Format (GIF/PCX..) umwandeln kann ?
