When building a release for the first time, please make sure to look at the INSTALL file in the distribution along with any NOTES file applicable to your platform. If you have problems, then join the openssl-users email list and post a question there.

It basically hangs while showing "Opening TLS connection to `imap.googlemail.com'...done" and I will have to Ctrl-G to stop it. (I left it for an hour and still didn't work, either.) For both situations where I tried to use gnutls-cli or openssl, it seems to be hanging in exactly the same places, where it seems to be the server is waiting for the client to talk to it, but Gnus never talks to it.

I installed openssl and it works properly as an exe. I am having trouble linking to the libs to use in an application.. The includes and library paths are set up. VS2017. 32bit. The various functions in ssl.h and crypto.h are not found by the compiler.

OpenSSL vulnerabilities exist in the SAS 9.4 Web Infrastructure Platform Data Server. SAS 9.4 Web Infrastructure Platform Data Server includes an OpenSSL 1.0.1c library, which contains security vulnerabilities as described at openssl.org/news/vulnerabilities.html. Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
1) Download the Maintenance Release install package sent by Progress.
2) Logon to the perimeter server as the user that installed the MessageWay RES service.
3) Copy the Maintenance Release install package to the perimeter server and unzip.
4) Step 3 will automatically create a new subdirectory named after the Maintenance Release install package.
5) Stop the MessageWay RES service.
6) Stop any remote processes that had been invoked by mwresd.
7) Locate and run the install program (mwres-6.1.0-mr08-win32.exe) in the subdirectory structure created in step 3 (...\servers_mrs\windows\).
8) Answer the prompts as they appear.
9) Start the MessageWay RES service.
