Did you see that Bohs are seeded above Celtic on the Champions League
draw because we were better than them in Europe last year? I think it's
a good idea they way inferior British clubs from the Scottish league are
placed in the lower end of the UEFA rankings.
It make me so proud to see an Irish fooball club like Bohemians being
seeded above a famous British club like Celtic. These are great times
for Irish soccer. I think it would be great if Bohs got Celtic in the
Champions League. The Irish against the British. The old rivialy etc.
Some match alright.
I really hate it when these posts are cross-posted to our NGs, but that was
the poorest attempt at a TROLL I've seen in a long time!

Could you please explain to me what I posted in the above comment that
could be considered a troll? Everything I posted was 100% factual and
well established knowledge. Celtic are a British football team and
Bohemians are an Irish one. Where is the troll? Have Celtic relocated to
County Cork or some other part of Ireland? It would be a terrible loss
to the British revenue service they did. How on earth will they get to
spend money on the RUC and British Army in Northern Ireland with all the
VAT they collect on Celtic replica jersies lost to the Irish economy?
Again am I posting something that not true? I guess it's a cultural
thing. The Celtic newsgroup being a British sports group may have a
different take on football that how an Irish football supporter would
see the game.
Also, I believe that Hibernian were founded 10 years before Celtic? If
they had a bit more sectarian baggage do you think they would be more
popular with people in Ireland who like their soccer with that kind of
thing attached to it? If Rangers were a Hindi Club would the same
passion not exist for you? I support Bohemians because I come from the
northside of Dublin and I am Irish. I have been told that a lot of
people in Ireland support Celtic because of their religion and the main
rival are a Protestant club - in this day and age this kind of thing
can't still be going on! I mean, people in Ireland supporting a football
club in a British city because you are either catholic or protestant!!!
Naw...can't true...!!
Now then Fuckbuzz (sp?)
One: How on earth were the Bohs more successful than Celtic last year? I
believe Linfield and Shelbourne were the Irish (sic) representatives in the
Champions league and you managed to scrape past the worst Aberdeen side in
living memory, then got stuffed by the Germans... didn't we just get pipped
in the next round by Bordeaux?
SO.... Two: Where in the world are they seeded higher than Celtic?
Three: Celtic are a Scottish team with an Irish heritage, British does not
even enter into the equation. You are the first Irish person I've heard
with this blinkered attitude. "People in Ireland supporting a team in a
British city..." wake up. There's not a man Jack of you (bar your self)
who doesn't have an English team or a Scottish team to follow because your
league isn't quite up to it - no - it's shite!
Sir, your post was and still is a fuckin' troll!
Willie.
Shels should get a reasonable seeding as well after last season.
Bohs and Celtic.....the unfortunate thing is that 80% of the supporters
would be Celtic supporters.
Didn't the Drug Dealers give Celtic a fright a few years ago?
Still I think Irish clubs always seem to lift themselves when playing
British opposition.
K.
Bohs beat Kaiserlauten in Germany, and lost 3-2 on aggregate. Thats not
stuffing.
Bohs results in Europe last season were better than Celtic's, hence the
seeding.
didn't we just get pipped

Glasgow isn't a British city????? Wake up.

I didn't say Bohs played in the Champions League, I said 'Europe' you
fuckwit. Bohs played in the UEFA Cup. They eliminated Aberdeen (former
CWC winners) and beat Kaiserslautren away who went on to the semi's. We
went out 3-2 to the Germans hardly "getting stuffed" and Kaiserslautren
had £40 million worth of player on the pitch in both matches.
> SO.... Two: Where in the world are they seeded higher than Celtic?
It was in a couple of the papers this week. Apparently, because we beat
a semi-finalist away we got more seeding points than Celtic.

So Scotland is part of China now? Scotland is part of the UK and Celtic
taxes from ticket sales to replica kits pay for British stuff including
the RUC and the British Army in Northern Ireland. If you lot didn't make
an issue out of Irish nationalism then Celtic fans wouldn't be so bad.
But the fact is that the football means nothing and
sectarian/nationalism means everything so that makes them hypocrites.

A few thousands drunks who want interject "Sinn Fein and The IRA" into
the Fields of Atherny and cannot name another Scottish Club other than
Rangers are not football fans. They are wankers - end of story. This is
the reality of Celtic "Irish" fan base. They wouldn't be interested
otherwise. They cannot get their sectarian fix in Irish, or even English
football so they source it out in Glasgow. Again, if they are so proud
of Celtic's Irish heritage then why do they ignore Hibernian who are
even more "Irish"? Answer: Hibs are not a club who cannot satisfy this
sectarian craving like Celtic can. It's that simple.

And you are a living in a fantasy. Celtic and Rangers and a monument to
everything that is wrong with football and they are destroying the
Scottish league. You should really find a club more suited to your
mentality such as Manchester United or Lazio. Seriously, screaming at a
TV monitor pissed out of your head in a Dublin pub on a Sunday Afternoon
makes little difference regardless of which team you are supporting.
You are the weakest link and perhaps even the missing link as well.
goodbye.
Must be true then!

Don't talk shite! If you had any idea of how the seeding system works
you'd realise that it gets calculated over a five-year period. If you
care to post a link to the UEFA site where you can confirm this
"higher seeding" then feel free, otherwise shut the fuck up.

Depends on who you ask, eh? For me it's a Scottish city, first and
foremost. In football terms Celtic is most certainly a *Scottish*
club - we play in a league called the SPL not the BPL, get it?.
Marty
I think that the Bohs would stand a good chance beating Manchester Utd (the
team that finished second in the British League this year). As for
Edinburgh Hibernian, well they really should have won the British Cup in
Cardiff against Liverpool and perhaps lack the bottle to perform at the
necessary level to be successful in Europe. Glasgow Rangers, who almost
sneaked in ahead of Man Utd to claim second place in the British League
will certainly need another tranche of investment from the money men to
aspire to any great advances in Europe. It certainly looks like the British
League champions, Glasgow Celtic, may well be best placed of the British
qualifiers in getting to the second phase of the Champions League.
Anyway, elsewhere in fitba'... with a bit of luck and a fair wind the
British national team looks to have a fair chance of qualifying for the
World Cup in 2002.

Exactly how many years ago did Aberdeen win the no defunct CWC?
How many players from that team played against Bohemians? Might it be
none?
and beat Kaiserslautren away who went on to the semi's. We

European football isn't a handicap. Everybody enters on an equal
footing.. You don't get penalised for spending more money on players.

Probably in a tabloid paper who haven't a clue what they are talking
about. Bohemians as the champions of one of the lowest rated leagues
in Europe, therefore the enter the Champions League in the very first
preliminary round.
Celtic are the champions of one of the middle ranking leagues so
therefore enter the competition a round later. (If Bohs win their
first round then they might get to play Celtic).
For what it's worth (due to the exploits of Rangers in the last year)
Scotland have now got two entrats to the Champions League, Celtic as
Champions and Rangers as runners-up,
All of this info. can be found at www.uefa.com
