Loyalist Murder in Newtownards

Loyalist paramilitaries were blamed for the murder of Stephen Manners,
murdered in Jimmy Mac's bar in North Street in Newtownards. Manners
was convited for his part in the murder of a Catholic woman in 1992,
in which her throat was slit. He was released under the terms of the
Belfast "Agreement"

He was one of a group of loyalists described by Dr Mowlam, as
"Ulster's unsung heroes".
