The Teach For India Fellowship
Teach For India is a nationwide movement of outstanding college graduates and young professionals who will commit two-years to teach full-time in under resourced schools and who will become lifelong leaders working from within various sectors toward the pursuit of equity in education.
To this end, we offer a 2-year, full-time, paid Fellowship. TFI's current Fellows are graduates and professionals from the top schools and companies in India and abroad. This list includes IIT (Mumbai and Delhi), St. Stephens College, BITS Pilani, ICICI Bank, NMIMS, Citigroup, Thermax, Georgetown University (USA), Ernst and Young, Accenture amongst many others.

An investment in your future career: The Teach For India Fellowship provides you with an opportunity to hone the most crucial competencies that will determine your success in any work context. You will learn soft and hard skills through our training, workshops and coaching from your manager. You will learn to be more effective and efficient with every task that you do. Planning and execution, communication and influencing, conflict-resolution, team work, dealing with uncertainty, succeeding in a resource-constrained environment are amongst the skills you will develop. In a word, the Fellowship experience will enable you to develop your leadership skills in the most dynamic and challenging context ever – in effect therefore, preparing you for any other leadership opportunity that you set out to pursue after the Fellowship.

Financial support during the Fellowship
Stipend: Teach For India is committed to providing a monthly stipend to all its Fellows.
Student Loan Deferrals: Teach For India currently has tied up with State Bank of India, Union Bank and Axis Bank for deferring the monthly repayment on Fellow's student loans.
Scholarships: Teach For India understands that in some exceptional cases, a Fellow might not be able to make ends meet on the monthly stipend due to family or medical reasons. In such cases, Teach For India will attempt to put the Fellow in touch with Trusts and high net worth individuals who have agreed to provide additional scholarships.
Opportunities beyond the Fellowship
Your contribution to Teach for India is important to us and we aim to create meaningful opportunities for the TFI alum. We will assist in placing TFI alum in positions and jobs that will enable them to be on a leadership track.
You will be part of alumni that consists of graduates and professionals from a strong network of colleges, universities and companies across not only India but also worldwide through our association with Teach for America (USA), Teach First (UK) and several other organizations part of the Teach For All network (http://teachforallnetwork.org/)
