Learn to square dance with the Stanford Quads square dance club!
Sunday Evenings, starting October 5, 1995, 7:00 to 9:00 pm
You don't need:
- A partner
- Special clothes
- Dancing talent
- Previous experience
Square dancing is a delightful activity enjoyed by countless folks of
all ages at clubs throughout the Bay Area, across the country, and
even overseas. The Quads is a singles club, which means you don't
have to come equipped with a partner (though couples are welcome, of
course). It's also a casual club, so you don't have to wear any
special clothes--just wear something comfortable to dance in.
Absolutely no experience is required--we start with the very basics.
And before you say, "But I have two left feet!", let me assure you
that one of the many wonderful aspects of square dancing is that
nobody much cares what you do with your feet.
Administrative details:
This beginner's class runs Sunday evenings from 7pm until about 9pm
and meets at Fairmeadow School in Palo Alto (directions below). New
class members are welcome on October 5, 12, and 19. Those are all
introductory nights; they are free of charge, and you can come to any
or all of them. Cost of the class thereafter is a mere $4 per week.

How to get there:
Fairmeadow School is located at 500 East Meadow in Palo Alto, almost
at the corner of Cowper. From 101, exit San Antonio Rd south. Turn
right at the first light (Charleston), right at the second light after
that (Middlefield), then left on East Meadow (light at the first
street that actually crosses Middlefield). Fairmeadow School is on
the left hand side just after the first light (Cowper).
Alternatively, you can take Alma/Central Expwy to Meadow, and turn
bayward. Fairmeadow School is on the right hand side just before the
second light.
