Here are two book recommendations that might be useful for those of
you who did not take CS110 and/or CS140 and feel that they need to do
some extra readings in order to fully understand the material covered
in CS240A:

CS110 material:

John F. Wakerly
Microcomputer Architecture and Programming
The 68000 Family
John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
1989

Chapters 5, 10, 11, 12


CS140 material:

M. Ben-Ari
Principles of Concurrent and Distributed Programming
Prentice Hall, 1990

Chapters 1, 3, 4, 5, 6

I don't think it's necessary to buy these books. I will ask the
Math & CS library to put both titles on reserve so that you can
skim the material at the library.
