First let me introduce monself - I'm Robbie, the new(ish) Go Green
Campaign intern at People & Planet. I've taken over from the
illustrious Hazy - so i've much to live up to!
* I'm writing to callout for nominations for the Green Gown Awards
http://peopleandplanet.org/navid2900. This year there will be a
'Student Initiatives' category, "celebrating initiatives towards
environmental best practice which have been developed or substantially
influenced by students on campus."
They're looking for really cool student campaigners/environmentalists
like you guys to demonstrate what students are doing to green our
universities. It'd be really good to make this a success and a
show-case for student initiative. And anyway, you all deserve a lot of
recognition for all your hard work!
If you're interested or you know someone deserving, please fill out an
application form. http://www.heepi.org.uk/green_gown_awards.htm. But
*you'll have to act quick*. The closing date for applications is
*12:00 noon on Friday 27 October!*
* We need to go ALL OUT to publicise the 4th November Carnival of
Climate Chaos. We're aiming for 3000 students, but unless we really
mobilise we will not reach that target. So please do what you can!
