I have a group here at Brunel who are trying to organise a litter-picking (and recycling) event somewhere in London for June/July. The idea is to target a place in central that really needs a good clean up. The organisers would also like to see if anyone from other Universities would like to get involved. I have contacted a few other groups but would be grateful if you could suggest some deprived areas that could use such an event, and if there is anyone who is interested. Please offer your thoughts to me at hs0...@brunel.ac.uk and I will pass those messages on, or put those of you who might be interested in taking place in contact with the organiser (Karen).
Please except my apologies for not being too active in this group as yet. I am currently involved with doing a comprehensive study of the University to assess its potential for 'improved' recycling - as of now there is only a very poor recycling service on site. I have attached a copy of the reports for the Student Union, including my initial suggestions. Could you please have a look at them and give me your thoughts.
Cheers,
Samuel (London 21, Brunel University)
