SEED Summer Internships

Summer interns travel to West Africa (mainly Ghana) and work with companies who are participants in SEED's Transformation Program, a business-building initiative designed to spur economic growth in the subregion.

Javier Ortega del Rio, MBA 2015 (above left) during his internship with Wilkins Engineering, a pioneering electrical engineering firm in Ghana.

Javier was tasked with analyzing the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

In recounting his summer internship experiences in West Africa, Javier mentioned that it is 
one thing to learn about developing countries from books and classroom discussions but to be prepared that once you get there—everything will be completely different.
