Subject: Group Exercise & Final Assignment on Advocating to Improve Health & Health Care

Dr. Bass,

Attached is our group group exercise and final assignment on advocating to improve health and health care.  In order to email our representative, Congressman John Sarbanes, we had to fill out a web-form email that could not be cc'd to others.  To confirm that our letter was sent we have attached a screenshot of our email confirmation receipt.

In addition to writing this letter, our group took advantage of several forms of multimedia in order to advocate our cause.  First, we wrote a Google Survey in order to collect data that supported our cause.  Second, we used the Hopkins medical student listserv to distribute our survey to our peers.  Third, we built a Facebook page that further advocates our cause.  Finally, we used this Facebook page to share our survey results with our classmates so they could see hour our class measured on the survey.  Here is the link to our page if you are interested in our results:  Making Medical School Free.

Our group enjoyed this project, and we are looking forward to hearing back from our representative.  See you in class!

Respectfully,

Sneha Shah, Juliana Macri, Ronald Hoard, Fiona Gispen, and Nicholas Culbertson
