Good Evening All,

ORGANIZATION NEEDED TO HAPPEN YESTERDAY ON THIS

I have been tracking the developments of the Assault Weapons Ban for the past week.  Things are not well.  It is NOT an Assault Weapons Ban.  I have read the information that Representative Feinstein has made available on her website.  I have also compared it to the United Nations Small Arms Treaty.  These documents are in lockstep with each other and it is NO LESS than an ALL OUT GUN GRAB!

Forget conspiracies.  This is simple truth.  I urge all of you to take a moment and read these documents and see for yourself.  Essentially, most firearms would be outright banned, and those not under the ban would need to be registered as NFA.  If you are in any way familiar with NFA, please be reminded that if you violate any part of it, that you WILL be placed in prison for no less than ten years.

I will not write a dissertation, however I will urge you to take a look at the links below.  Take a half hour out of your busy schedule and view the video, and follow the presenter's recommendation to write your Representatives and convince them that this is nothing short of treason should they vote, support, or even stay neutral or silent on this.  This is an attempt to undermine the Second Amendment entirely, not to keep us safe from ourselves!

1-Call your elected officials in Washington, I spoke with Donna today.  Yes I know she has no vote on the floor.

2-Join the National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America, or National Association For Gun Rights.  Heck, join all three!  And Donate Funds!

3-Get educated, Youtube has done most of the research for you.  If you need recommendations to watch, just ask me.

4-Know your facts and Please, PLEASE NEVER associate the Second Amendment with hunting.  Speak plainly, it is about Defense from Tyranny!

5-Do Not assume that everyone knows the law, history, or statistics.  200 people died from hitting deer on the road in 2012, 88 died from gunfire massacres! BAN DEER!

Due to the recent events at Sandy Hook elementary school we now face renewed threats to our Constitutional rights. While I understand how painful the loss must be for those touched by this tragedy, blaming firearms or their owners and punishing them is not the answer to the challenges we face as a nation.

We already have laws that were violated by a man who was likely psychotic and heavily medicated. This man was stopped by the mandatory background check from purchasing firearms. He then decided to murder his mother and take her legally owned firearms to commit this tragedy.

If your true goal is to protect our children, then enact legislation that will do that. Banning firearms that are rarely used in crime (less than 1% of the time) is not going to stop such tragedies, that was proven in 1999 when the Columbine shooting took place under the 1994 ban. Do something meaningful, please. Make committing the insane easier. Put armed security guards in our schools. But do not strip us of our rights and property by passing additional anti-gun laws that have historically had no positive effect on crime in our nation or others.
