Hello to my fellow Alums of the Class of 1967
Attached is the latest mailing list from Kathereine Bendo of the SHSAA. It contains an up to date listing of our Class of 1967, along with contact information, in accordance with the SHSAA records.
If you have a few minutes, please review the list and get back to me with any additions, deletions, corrections, edits, etc. I want to make sure we do all we can to get as many as possible involved.
In the meantime, a mailing will go out shortly concerning our 45th Reunion on Oct 20, at The Sequoia restaurant at the South Street Seaport's Pier 17. We have the whole second floor of the restaurant, and there will be an open bar, with premium brands, throughout the evening, along with appetizers, a buffet dinner, and dessert bar.
A DJ ( "The Great Pretender" ) will be on hand to play songs from the 1960s and 1970s and there will be plenty of room for dancing. I've attached that mailing in this e mail.
If you have not already done so, please send in your payment of $125 per person to the link below and go to the Class of 1967 reunion page :
Remember, spouses are invited and are encouraged to come !!!!!! There will be dancing and music, and they'll have a ball !!!
As I've said to several of you already, please don't feel reticent about coming to the Reunion, just because you feel you may not know, or remember, anyone. I didn't know 75%, or more, of those who came to our get together at my apartment back on May 6. However, by the time the party was over, we were all good friends and exchanged stories about our life and times at Stuy. The school is our common denominator, and our tenure there during 1964-67 was VERY interesting and memorable, to be sure !!!!
Take good care, my fellow Alums, and God bless you and your families !!!
Best regards, always.
Jim, The Sterg

Here’s the list we are going to use for mailing out the printed invitations. It has 359 addresses that are “good” as far as we know, after deleting the bad addresses noted in the “reason” column.
This list has phone numbers but no email addresses.

Why does GE’s list have only 260 good mailing addresses, when our list has about 360 good mailing addresses?
Should we assume that those additional 100 or so addresses are bad and not send the invitation to them?

i received the attached list of 1967 alums and their mailing addresses from George Eastman. Do you have this list ? I thought you could use it for the mailing you were going to make. I will do a second e mail using the e mails here. I am not shy about being a "pain" in the you know what !
Thanks, and best regards, always.
Hi Guys... please review the attached Excel list at your
convenience... I will be sending this list to all of our current
email contacts... my request will be for each person on
our list to try to find one more email contact from the
names that have none...
you will see that the contacts that we already have
are alphabetized by last name... that is followed by an
ordered list of Alums with no email info, and in some cases
no contact info all... if everyone on our list can research and
find one more contact we will double our list... if we do that
again with that upgraded list, we have a good chance to
maximize our contact list... we have a few months before the
October 20 event and an additional five (5) years should we
decide to organize for a 50th reunion....
I would appreciate your input as you review the list and give
me some feedback and input on how to present the list and
the request to the group... is the plan, as described above,
clear enough? does it make sense? is it too much to ask of
the group? so far I think not, but I'd appreciate your thoughts...
best
GEO
The postal codes are:
AN = Attempted Not Known,
BC = Box Closed,
FA = No Forwarding Address,
FE = Forwarding Order Expired,
IA = Insufficient Address,
JM = Joint Mailing,
MV = Moved,
ND = Not Deliverable as Addressed,
NS = No Such Address or Street,
RS = Return to Sender,
zDE = Deceased
BA is an ad hoc code we use in the office
that basically means there has never
been an address on file for that alum.
