Hi Jim:

I agree with your "once every 45 years" philosophy. I think the venue is great and the price reasonable for NYC and everything included with open bar. But again, I'm not traveling far, only from Long Island, so I understand how others feel factoring in travel, etc. Just my opinion, but I vote yes.

Hi Guys

Hope all is well, my fellow alums.

We are talking with The Sequoia Restaurant, regarding the site of our 45th ( !!! ) Reunion, and I want to get your final approval.

The Sequoia located at the South Street Seaport, ( at Fulton St and the East River ), and I wanted to get the go ahead from the Committee as to the

   a) date, which is Saturday, October 20, running from about 6 PM till 10 PM ( or, 6:30PM-10:30 PM )

   b) having a dinner / dance with a DJ playing, mostly 60s and 70s music ( I've been in contact with a really good one, who did my wife's 60th birthday two years ago; his cost is $600 )

   c) likely cost of the event ( between $130-$140 pp, all inclusive).

Please give me your input as to whether we should have an open bar, just soda with wine at each table ( I like that ), or a cash bar.

I am working with Henry Grossberg, the head of our Alumni Association. He indicated that because of the Association's tax status, we will save some money on taxes.

The other option is to have the event at The Water Club, located on the East River and 38th Street, but the only open date for that is Oct 27, and it is a bit more expensive, albeit somewhat more "elegant". However, Oct 27 starts to run into the holidays, so my efforts have been confined, mostly, to The Sequoia. Both places will have outdoor space available to us. I like the South Street Seaport area, as there is a lot to do there, and is an interesting locale, for many reasons. But, I am OK with whatever the Committee wants. Just say the word and I'm there with you guys !!!

Best regards to all !!!
