Researchers at Michigan State are studying real-world experiences of stuttering to better
understand its variability, and they'd love your help.
Are you an adult who stutters interested in deepening our understanding of how
stuttering varies in our day-to-day lives? This opportunity might interest you.
Researchers at the
Michigan State University Spartan Stuttering Lab
are conducting a research project that looks into the tendency for stuttering to change over time and across situations (aka the variability of stuttering), and they are looking for participants.
Who can participate?
People who stutter ages 18+ who live in eligible U.S. states
What
is involved?
Wearing a small microphone for 7 days (equipment provided by researchers, and
mic can be turned off for privacy at any time), and participating in an interview with the researchers at the start and end of the study
What do participants receive?
$50 per day for recording typical conversations (in the form of a gift card)
