I don't knw abt its current status but IIT kharagpur should well develop its own satellite when IIT kanpur have already developed and IIT bombay are doing the same. Few other colleges in hyderabad and bangalore have developed a pico satellite which is just about 800 gms is truly an amazing feat.

Goodluck to those who were working on the project

Hi,

ISRO is delaying in giving the fund for the project. And that's why the project is getting delayed. We are trying to fix the problem. But anyway there is nothing to believe the the project will stop in the middle.

Secondly, as far as I know, IITB and IITK both are developing their own satellites and none of the projects are finished yet. And right now they are the only universities who are getting fund from ISRO and no other universities are getting funds from ISRO for satellite project.

Finally, some of the seniors left Kgp does not mean that the project will also stop. The problem is that we can't do anything before getting the funds from ISRO. So right now I think we have to wait for few more months. I am in contact with the ISRO. But can't say anything about when we will get the fund..

Hi,

Now that Santanu has passed out, who will lead the project?
It is necessary that someone who is Kgp should also be in touch with ISRO. Is there anyone who is in contact with ISRO other than Santanu?

Looking forward for the project to be in full swing again,

IIT-Kanpur satellite Jugnu in its final stages

Engineering students from Bangalore help create Pico satellite

I think it really doesn't matter if anyone has completed a satellite, put it into an orbit or not....the thing is we can do it and I wish people working on STUSAT to aim high and do what is not at all impossible nowadays but do it with flying colours.

Good Luck

Hi all,

Sorry, for delay. We have fixed up the problems. We are having a meeting in ISRO in Dec. I hope everything will be streamlined after it. I am sorry but nothing is in our hand. So we have to wait.

Thank you all
Bye
