Started playing in versus with a friend and then moved onto Arcade. I even set the difficulty down to very easy and I can bearly win a fight. I know it should never be too easy to win, but setting the difficulty down should give me more room to try things out, learn the system and not get beaten up by the first enemy.

Not trying to bitch just stating my experience. So, is anybody here a KI expert that can give me some tips on how to at least beat arcade with all the characters? It just seem so different than the new KI, especially the combo system. I also have no idea how get more than 6-7 hits in a combo. An ultra combo is out of the question right now.

Yeah it seems a lot harder than when I remember it a kid. I don't remember having trouble making it through the first few fights. I just kept at it over and over and every now and then I got lucky and made it all the way through the game that way. I think you just have to get lucky and some games are easier than others but there were matches later in the game I had to try 20-30 times before I won.

Yeah this arcade remake is a heck of a lot harder than the old arcade or snes version. I've been playing the game pretty constantly since 1996 and even I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment but I guess it doesn't help that I have a huge blister on my thumb =/

this game is a perfect arcade port... which was never easy to begin with. it took me awhile to get reintune with my regular characters now its second nature. i am offering training sessions if anyone needs help/tips. msg me online and ill be glad to teach you evertying i know( ultras, combos, no mercys, ultimates)

no good combos to spam as the CPU will break you if you use the same one over and over. this one does requre a fair amount of skill and knowledge of the character you are using. i used saberwulf( took me a few runs) but i managed it. practice in this game makes perfect.

Probably the easiest character to use for this would be Eyedol himself. If you run on the 1.5 version of the game, select Cinder and use the same button combo to turn into Eyedol as you would on the SNES version.

If you aren't good at the game and want to use Eyedol, probably the best tactic is to walk into a corner and swing uppercut your mace whenever the CPU comes towards you. You'll dish a fair bit of damage too. To do that, just hold back and then hit forward+FP (Fierce Punch) and you're good to go.

If you want to use the old buddy 1.4 build of the game to finish the game instead, you'll need to select Riptor instead of Cinder but I can't remember the old combo to turn into Eyedol on the 1.4 build

As the current world number 1 with Sabrewulf is me, I can assure you the strongest characters in the game are Spinal, Fulgore, Riptor, Glacius, Thunder and of course Sabrewulf. The only advice I can offer is to practice. Changing difficulty will have no effect after about 5 minutes as the A.I. alters itself quite rapidly to adjust how good/shit you are. Learn the combo system for this K.I. as it is a lot more technical than the new K.I. A basic killer combo with Sabrewulf goes as such: < > qk, fp, > < mp, mp, < > mk. Charge the left/ right directions. If you'd like advice on any of the other characters feel free to message me as I know every characters every move and best combos.

I havent played the original KI in ages and it was in the arcade.Never really remember it being that hard.Getting my butt handed to me left and right and eyedol is just cheap and heals himself as soon as i do a bit of damage to him even on the easiest difficulty.Any real way of getting 1000 on this without wanting to throw your controller through your tv.

Unfortunately the original game was made Rare and the notorious Midway. Midway games have auto difficulty so even though the game is set on very easy it can randomly change the AI to a harder level based on your skill. So if you wanna get to Eyedol play very crappy and random moves and do only Triple combo & Hyper combo until you get to him. If you play well showing a good amount of skill e.g. Regularly hitting King combo or Killer Combo the game will get harder quicker. Hope this shed some light.
