Hello,

Recently, StumpWM throw an exception about a fasl file which is read-only.

I would like to know how I can record that message to a file so I can post it on this list ofr further support.

This instance of StumpWM is installed on a Fedora Linux 33 using the guix package manager.

The fasl file is located in a package called stumpwm-lib.

Regards,

Hi Roland,

I guess the error log is recorded at ~/.xsession-errors

Stefan.

I manage to isolate the buggy code. Whenever I load one of the module from the contrib, I got the exception.
The contrib modules are all installed using the guix package manager as well.

Anybody has experience installing StumpWM with guix on foreign distribution?

It is surely a recent update that introduce the problem, because less than a week ago it was still working.

Do you know which module it is? If its the clim-mode-line module, its not ready for primetime and was placed in the contrib repo to be more accessible to people who know clim.
