Birthdays extension! / Other stuff you should know about, like the 24hr Zine Challenge

Dear Undergroundians!

Hey, we're extending the deadline on the birthdays issue until July 31st as our gift to you! Refresh yourself about the submissions call here: http://groups.google.com/group/stumptownunderground/web/submissions---issue-12

Well, we're also doing it because the bikes/etc. issue, "Pedal Power," isn't coming out until July 31st (http://groups.google.com/group/stumptownunderground/web/pedal-power-release-party-and-pzs-bike-in-movie), so we might as well extend the birthday issue deadline.

In other news, we feel like there are come upcoming events you should know about. As a supporter of Stumptown Underground, we know you care about creative community and creating, so you may want to put in a last minute registration for the PZS 2nd Annual 24hr Zine Challenge, happening TOMORROW (http://www.pdxzines.com/writing/127/) and to consider tabling at the 10th Annual Portland Zine Symposium. 

Blue and Katie Ash, Stumptown Underground editor/organizers, are also PZS organizers (that's how we originally met!), so we can't say enough good things about what it's like to be involved with and table out the Portland Zine Symposium. A half table at PZS is $20 fo rhte weekend, so it's well worth your time and the exposure. Check out http://www.pdxzines.com to read all about PZS.
