We'll be at Olympia Comics Fest this weekend! / General Update

Hey Faithful Undergroundians,

     This Saturday, June 5th, editors Katy O'Brien, Andy Johnson and Blue will be up at Olympia Comics Fest tabling, enjoying OCF's annual Stage Show and checking out the Eye Candy Animation Festival! This year's OCF guest of honor is Peter Bagge. The OCF is open to the public and free to attend, the Stage Show is just a measly 5 bucks, and the animation fest is free and all ages--how can you even consider missing all this? 

     Even more awesome is that Blue will be participating in a panel with Dylan Williams, Tim Goodyear and Jason Miles! Here's the full info from the website:

12:00 - 12:45 - Making, Publishing, Distributing, and Selling your Comics and Zines - Four publishers, Dylan Williams, Tim Goodyear, Jason Miles, and Christina “Blue” Crow, talk about the process of getting your comics and zines into the hands of the people you want to read them. Learn the basics of the major aspects of doing your own comics. Audience participation and brainstorming is encouraged.

     In the spirit of community and awesomeness, Andy and Blue (who will be driving up from Portland to Olympia) are offering up a ride to the first 2 Undergroundians lucky enough to snatch it up (who are also wiling to pitch in for gas because indie publishers aren't made of money). Just send Blue an email ASAP to get a seat.

     In other news, Blue (SU editor/organizer and PZS organizer) was on The Nerd Report with Emily Gibson and Sabrina Miller to discuss PZS and zines in general with Alex Wrekk (an organizer of PZS), so we updated our media page with a link to the mp3 of the complete interview (which was originally live).
