Stumptown Underground is excited to announce
our "Zine Cuisine" Release Party
and potluck at IPRC!

Where: IPRC917 SW Oak St. #218
What: "Zine Cuisine" Release Party!
Activities: Reading zines, eating food, and trading recipes
Who: Stumptown Underground
When: Saturday, November 20th
Time: 6pm-9pm

We are having a potluck/recipe party for our "Zine Cuisine" anthology this November 20th at IPRC, from 6pm-9pm

For this party, we invite everyone to bring their favorite dish and/or recipe. We can make copies of the recipes for everyone to take home using the great resources that the IPRC provides! If you are stumped at what to bring, check out the facebook event to find out what people might be bringing. We will have all party goers vote for their favorite dish at the party and the one with the most votes will earn its creator a free copy of the issue! You'll also be able to meet and greet with the issue's contributors, check out the IPRC, and  purchase copies of "Zine Cuisine" for $5 (contributors get 1 copy each) before all your friends.

The IPRC, or Independent Publishing Resource Center, is the very place where Stumptown Underground prints and assembles our issues every month! If you like making zines, comics, posters or other art, you really should get familiar with IPRC. They have computers with scanners, copy machines, stamps galore, letterpress machines, a perfect binder and even more!

"Zine Cuisine" is the fourteenth monthly anthology from Stumptown Underground, centralized around the theme of food, cookings, and recipes. In this issue, you'll find comics, writing, and illustrations from the likes of Everett Patterson, Aaron Whitaker, Katie Ash, Ryan Alexander-Tanner, James Michael Williams, Acey Thompson, and many other talented folks.

We will be getting an online preview up soon, so stay tuned!

If you submitted to this or the self portraits / self reflection issue, "Ego," you will be hearing the final word back from us this weekend as to your submission. We did not have a release party for "Ego," so we encourage you to attend this one to pick up your copy of Ego at this party if you made it in..

Stumptown Underground is a zine collective, publishing monthly issues that include pretty much anything you can put in a zine (writing, comics, illustrations, reviews, recipes, etc) and centralized around a different theme each month. Our purpose in doing this monthly zine is to give ourselves and the people who submit the opportunity to be inspired by monthly themes to create more, to get more of their creative work out in the world, and to build community. You can find more information online, as well as extensive previews of all issues.
