We have been able to extract the tables form the DB files using SQLite and can access the sender, receiver, and content information, but the one thing we can't directly interpret is the date. In the DB file, the date is formatted as a 16-character number string similar to this: "1458312409000000".
In Finland, our shortest time format is "H.MM" and shortest date format is "d.m.yyyy" or, when the year is not required/applicable, "d.m.". Neither whitespace nor leading zeros are to be used anywhere in short date formats, leading zeros are used in minutes.
When Teams formats dates for the chat list and drops the year, it assumes it's OK to leave out the trailing dot and, adding injury to insult, prepends leading zeros to single digit months. See where all this goes?

Everything works great except for the word "at". How can I get that word to display as a word instead of the "a" in "at" being translated to the "am/pm". Right now using that date format it ends up looking like this: Jan. 27, 2015 amt 8:17 AM. Notice the "amt" instead of "at".
Is there any simple way of getting it to not process the "a" as part of the format? I have already tried splitting the output and manually entering the "at" after the third space but I'd like a cleaner code if possible.
There are many more date formats that users might want to use for their specific use case and context. Also, different countries use different date formats, so this would likely be helpful for users. Microsoft Excel has over 10 default date formats and you can create custom date formats as well.
Nevermind I do not know if that works either. I just changed it on my form to the same format style as monday and then tried to rezap. NOTHING WORKS unless I change the column type to text or whatever but then I loose the calendar
Maybe a setting in the Excel export dialog to define the export date format would work; let the user select the needed format from a list (and if the selection includes hours and the date does not, this could be replaced by 00:00:00).

The only thing I cannot find is where the search query is build for the date type. It seems that the date format is harcoded to en_US in multiple places throughout the code or the setted locale is totally ignored which really sucks!

Only the date time string format is explicitly specified to be supported. Other formats are implementation-defined and may not work across all browsers. A library can help if many different formats are to be accommodated.
