SE-1 LFO MAJOR Problem

Hi everyone,

i just bought the SE-1 and have that exact problem with the 3 LFOs:

"none of the destinations function, nor can I change the LFOs' waveforms; only LFO 1 appears to work, modulating all three oscillators with a triangle wave." (SoS mag 1994)

Is this because i need an upgrade and would the SE-1 OS 2.51 Upgrade solve that problem?
What is that upgrade for anyways? I can't find any info about it...
