If anyone is looking for a job, this looks like a really sweet
opportunity. Details below.
Over the summer, Mark came in to talk at Osurb; really cool guy.

Subject: need Ruby dev for the 10x program
To: tsnyd...@gmail.com
Tony -
My friend Chris Anderson and I are starting a service called
CarrieMail, which bridges the gap between the ease & simplicity of
email to special feeling of opening an envelope. It's a ROR3-based
web application, using Unbounce as the main landing page, and Heroku
for hosting.
To get the company started, we are applying for the 10x-celerator
program (http://fisher.osu.edu/centers/entrepreneurship/10x/)
announced a few weeks ago. 10 Winning companies get $20k each to
start, and one winner gets $200k if they're selected in the end. The
hook is that the company has to be 50% recent graduates.
Right now, we have Chris as the business guy, myself on technology,
and one recent grad as the designer. We could really use a ROR
developer (even if only junior-level) to round out the crew and make
us eligible for the fund.
I feel like we have a great chance to get the $20k (good business idea
& we have connections), so for the right developer there's actually
money involved.
Would you pass this on to the OSURB group, if you're not interested yourself?
Thanks!
- Mark
p.s. I launched that site I pitched to you guys last fall
(www.isandlot.com). Take a look, if you're curious. It's not fully
functional, but it looks good :-).
