Sorry for the cross-cross-post, but you guys should come to ProtoNight tomorrow.  It's west of campus (technically still on campus, I think) at TechColumbus: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?q=techcolumbus

From the email I sent to the CRB list:

You all should totally come to the ProtoNight meeting on Wed!  It's 6:30 at TechColumbus and lasts for 2 hours.  It will be a great way to get connected to people in town with web ideas.  You'll likely be paired with a non-techy "idea person" to brainstorm and code for 2 hours.  So don't worry about your level of expertise - you'll be a web dev guru in their eyes.

From the email I sent to the protonight mailing list:

I'll talk for about 5 minutes at the beginning and then split everyone into pairs (pairing developers and idea people where possible).  You'll have 2 hours to collaborate on a web idea.  The goal is to collaborative and have fun.

As you walk in you'll pick either a "developer" card (bring your laptop and be ready to code) or an "idea person" card (bring a web idea).

Discuss your ideas.  Bounce around thoughts about how to improve them and implement them.  Do some coding.  Do some mocking up.  By the end of the 2 hours you may not have a working prototype, but you can count on having a great, high-energy, collaborative experience, and connecting with another enthusiastic person in the Cbus tech community!

We've got the big room at TechColumbus reserved.  Not sure how big of a showing we'll have (that's up to you!) but you'll be paired with 1 other person for the whole night so it's not of much consequence.

Hope to see some of the rest of you there.  Should be a fun, low-stress way to get fired up about techy stuff for 2 hours, and connect with some cool people in the community.

Unfortunately, I am also unavailable on Wednesdays. I was going to make a point to skip my prior obligation next week for the cbusjs meeting, but I can't make it to the prototype meeting tomorrow. Sounds fun though, maybe next month.
