Social Media Presence for Artists with Emanuel De Sousa
Keeping your social media presence optimized and up-to-date is a constant, demanding challenge for any artist. It requires time, strategy, and a unique creative approach.
Join us for an exclusive online webinar with acclaimed figurative artist Emanuel De Sousa (as seen on Artsy, Collater.al, and more), who has successfully navigated the digital landscape to build an international profile.
Emanuel will share his personal strategies for:
- Streamlining the social media workflow.
- Maximising engagement with collectors and curators.
- Nurturing an authentic online presence that complements, not consumes, your studio time.
Gain practical tips and valuable insights to transform your social media efforts.
Emanuel De Sousa
Born in Madeira archipelago, Portugal, in 1977, Emanuel De Sousa graduated from Fine Arts/Painting degree from the university of Porto, Portugal, in 2005. Emanuel exhibited for the first time with Jorge Shirley gallery, in the same year, 2005, starting a professional career that has been expanding over these last 20 years between Europe and the United States, represented in private and public collections with regular solo and group shows.
Being a figurative artist, the main focus has been on creating narratives using the human body as the main messaging vehicle, leaning towards the Dada proclivities over these last few years, playing with the absurd and uncanny, with no rules, no boundaries or limits, looking for an honest dialogue between the painting and the observer, with the hopes of transforming the observer into a participant in the narrative, making it therefore, their own.

This event is supported by Clare, Limerick and Tipperary County Council Arts Offices.

The gallery also publishes catalogues and hardback books to accompany exhibitions. Through its membership of the Contemporary Art Gallery Association, the Molesworth works to raise the profile and sustainability of the visual arts sector, engaging with public bodies, collectors and the media. A graduate of Trinity College, Lyons previously worked as a staff journalist with The Economist Group. He is also the author of a novel, Lead White, set in the London contemporary art world
