| Hi everyone, Nominations for the WFTV Awards 2026 close today at 5pm. If someone has made an impression on you this year, please take a few minutes to nominate them. It really is your last chance.
We are particularly keen to see more nominations come in for our Writing, Craft, and News and Factual Awards - three areas where brilliant work often happens behind the scenes but powerfully shapes everything we see on screen. If someone's writing has stood out, if their factual storytelling has cut through, or if their skilled craft has made a project dazzle, we'd especially encourage you to nominate them today.
Nominating is completely free and we've made the process as easy as possible. If you've got five minutes to spare today, I'd encourage you to use them to recognise some of the brilliant women and non-binary people whose talent, creativity, and leadership deserve to be celebrated.
Nominations close for the year at 5pm today. Do it now. |

Are you thinking about applying for the WFTV Four Nations Mentoring Scheme but not sure where to start? Come and have a chat with us at 5pm today.
I'll be joined by our mentoring team from across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to demystify the application process, explain what the schemes involve, and answer all of your questions.
I've also been thinking about why mentoring feels particularly important right now. In a new piece on our blog, I've written about the power of community and why, in an industry that asks so much of women, having people in your corner can make all the difference. Read it here now.
If you're curious, considering applying, or simply want to find out more, we'd love to see you on our webinar today. |

If you're working in writing or development, we've got a great online session for you tonight.
We’ll be joined by Katherine Jakeways and Roanne Bardsley, writers and co-executive producers of A Woman of Substance on Channel 4. They'll be talking through the making of the series and their work adapting Barbara Taylor Bradford’s novel for screen.
We’ll be discussing the process behind shaping a story that spans six decades, building Emma Harte’s world, and what it takes to sustain a character-driven drama of this scale. I hope you can join us. |
|
| | | | | | | | | | | WFTV members - don’t forget you can access the WFTV Catch-Up Hub 24/7 and watch back more than 350 WFTV online events including Q&As, panel discussions, workshops and more. |
