Project Updates

Bump in the Night

Bump in the Night is returning soon, but it needs your help to get some eyes on it. You can follow the Zoop campaign page to be alerted when it goes live. Telling your friends about the book - especially if you've liked our other anthologies - is a great way to help us get the sign-ups on track to get this one funded.

Old Game Plus #2

Seamus Kavanagh is back with a new book - Old Game Plus #2! Collecting six stories inspired by a whole new set of video games, Seamus is joined by an amazing line-up of creators. But before we get to them... the cover!

Stay tuned to our socials and Seamus's Instagram for more news on the book, coming very soon!

A Sensual Cesspool of Iniquity

James Bacon's new book is nearing completion - all the writing is done, all the formatting and typesetting done, and now we're just finishing up details on the cover design.

We'll be launching the book at Dublin Comic Con in August - hopefully by the time our next newsletter rolls around, we'll have table locations to share so you can line up to get your hands on James's book. Be warned - this one ended up bigger than his first, so you'll need something to carry it with!

For now, here's a quick look at John McGuinness's art for the book! Colours coming soon!

Enniskillen - June 2026

Paul and James were tabling at the Enniskillen Comic Fest earlier this month. It was the first time both had been at the show since 2023, which meant a weekend of catching up about comics and life.

As part of the proceedings for the weekend, James was doing sketch card commissions and selling some pre-done originals. (What we call in the business, "Coward sketches" - so named by our pal Colm Griffin!)

If you want to read about Paul's experience of the event, he's written up a blog post on his ko-fi.

Dublin Comic Con

We'll have way more to talk about soon, but with Dublin Comic Con around the corner we have the delight of sharing that Gary's been announced as a guest!

Gary's got a fresh supply of When the Blood Has Dried for anyone who's been looking to get their hands on it!

Heavy Metal

The FOC for the upcoming special issue of Heavy Metal magazine: Extreme Futurism is July 6th. The issue includes an article by our own Paul Carroll.

The updated cover art comes from Marco Turini, who wrote about the process of designing the cover on his website.

From the solicitations:

Heavy Metal undertakes its most ambitious project since the relaunch with their first annual Special looking at the topic of Extreme Futurism. This innovative issue brings a focus on Biohacking¸ Future War¸ Travel and Teleportation¸ and what lies Beyond Our Universe through a series of articles¸ illustrations¸ infographics and¸ of course¸ comics.

The issue is out on August 26th.

Bi Visibility: Bi Bi Bi

In case you missed it, Paul has a story in Bi Visibility: Bi Bi Bi, currently funding on Kickstarter.

Paul's story is called Dreadful Penny: Bisexual Disaster. Here's a quick preview, with art by Soha Sorouri and colours by Celeste Davalos.

Art Drop

Gareth is back to working on sketch cards in between making comics.

Of course, it wouldn't be Gareth if he didn't do a whole Thanos as well!

We'll be back in July with updates on more work, and an update on our big ol' cover gallery below!

Until next time!
