Movie Magic Courses

Screen Skills Ireland is delighted to offer two courses, tutored by experienced line producer and trainer Brian Donovan, which will cover the time-saving facilities of Movie Magic Budgeting and Movie Magic Scheduling

Movie Magic Budgeting

Tutor: Brian Donovan, Line Producer
Date: Monday 31 May 2021
Duration: Monday 31 May - Friday 4 June (9.30 - 12.30)
Venue: Online 
Cost: €250

Course Profile

This course is run in partnership with Screen Skillnet. Participants will be taught the time-saving facilities of EP Movie Magic Budgeting, the industry’s most widely used scheduling and budgeting software.

Budgeting

This will enable them to compile their budget in the most effective way and allow them to quickly, and confidently, modify their work when required. The training sessions will utilise and provide considerable background information to put the practical use of the software clearly into perspective. Participants will be allocated a computer each, which will have EP Movie Magic Budgeting downloaded and ready to use. Areas covered during this training include:

  • Overview of EP Movie Magic Budgeting
  • Introduction to Budgeting
  • Choosing your Budget template
  • Setting up key tools [Currencies, Fringes, Globals, Groups]
  • Budgeting Principles and Practices

Please note:  Every participant will need a *laptop/computer, camera, microphone, speaker and good broadband. If you do not have Movie Magic Budgeting, please download a free trial at https://moviesoft.com/product/getting-started-on-movie-magic-budgeting-10/n using the coupon code onemonthfree. 
 

Participant Profile

This hands-on programme, run in partnership with Screen Skillnet, is aimed at Film & TV Drama personnel who wish to create and edit budgets of all sizes for all types of productions. Priority will be given to roles, such as Producers, Production crew, Accounts crew and Assistant Directors, that use the software as part of their everyday roles.

The course is limited to 8 participants. 

Screen Skills Ireland courses are open to all regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
