We are delighted to announce that tickets for the WFTV Festival will be available to book from next Monday, 17 February.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, we’ll be kicking off on Friday 7 March at the Garden Cinema London, and throughout the month the WFTV Festival will travel across the UK, from Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester. The WFTV Festival is for WFTV members, by members - showcasing members’ work, short and long form, across both film and TV, to an audience of members and invited industry professionals. |

The Film and TV Charity’s 2024 Looking Glass Report shows that even though there have been some positive shifts in working culture, mental health in film, TV, and cinema is getting worse.
In 2024, 35% rated their mental health as poor or very poor - up from 24% in 2019. And only 12% think the industry is a mentally healthy place to work, while 63% say the industry has a negative impact on their mental health. And with loneliness, financial worries, job insecurity, and worklessness, a big issue for our workforce.

Tonight, we’re hosting an online conversation with actors Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Michele Austin on their roles as sisters in new feature film Hard Truths, written and directed by Mike Leigh.

For Meet the Producer on Wednesday 26 February, join our host Michelle Stein to discuss historical dramas with producers Christine Langan and Stella Merz. The panel will be discussing current trends they're noticing within the industry, and insights on funding and developing projects.
