Project Updates
Bump in the Night is returning soon, but it needs your help to get some eyes on it. You can follow the Zoop campaign page to be alerted when it goes live. Telling your friends about the book - especially if you've liked our other anthologies - is a great way to help us get the sign-ups on track to get this one funded.
Coming soon, we also have:
Old Game Plus: Volume 2
and
A Sensual Cesspool of Inequity: The Irish Hysteria & Hatred of Horror Comics
Old Game Plus is Seamus's video-game inspired comic collection. Volume 1 came out in 2022, marking Seamus's debut with Limit Break Comics.
A Sensual Cesspool of Inequity is James Bacon's second non-fiction comics commentary, taking a look at the Irish reaction to horror comics.
We'll have more details on both in the near future!
Dublin Comic Con
The gang are going to Dublin Comic Con!
You can find us around one of the artist alley blocks. John, Seamus and Mari are close to each other, with Paul on the other side. (Not included in the map - Paul's twin in the table beside him!)
Panels
We've got one panel on the cards for the weekend. At the time of sending this, the time hasn't been confirmed with Dublin Comic Con. You can find the times for the convention here: March 2026 Schedule, and we'll put the info on our socials ASAP!
Breaking In and Staying In: Working Life as a Professional Comic Book Artist
Marvel Comics artist Ruairí Coleman will speak about his latest title Predator: Bloodshed, which released only on 25th February 2026, and Kerry-based artist Mari Rolin will speak about her recent experience as a finalist with the 2000AD Artist Talent Search at the 2025 Thought Bubble Festival in Harrogate, UK. Looking ahead to April 2025, artist Patrick Mulholland will speak about work on his forthcoming Image comics series Fireborn, set for release on 22nd April 2026.
Mari, Patrick and Ruairí will give insight into the work that goes into creating professional comic book pages, in addition to taking questions from the audience. Moderated by Seamus Kavanagh of Limit Break Comics.
New Art
John has a range of new prints coming to the convention! The man has range!
Paul has been adding to his print range with two of horror's most beloved demon murder clowns.
Art from Terrifier
Pennywise from IT
Mari has sent us a lines-only teaser of a piece she'll have at the convention. And as always, she'll be taking commissions over the weekend!
Art Drop
Between conventions, James Killian has been working on Marvel samples. Here are some new pages he's completed, ready to show off to the world! (At the behest of Paul.)
A Blast From The Past
How a wartime issue of Sensation Comics offered a glimpse of a terrifying future
James Bacon is a one-man comics commentary factory. His latest article on Down the Tubes is here! It begins...
A facsimile edition of Sensation Comics #38 was released in December last year, some 81 years after it was first published in December 1944. The Wonder Woman Christmas cover seemed like a good reason to republish it, but, James Bacon realised, the stories inside seemed to offer a timely warning about contemporary America, echoing concerns of the 1940s…
Paul has been accepted into Lifeline Comics' Bi Visibility Volume 3. Story details are still under wraps until the Kickstarter goes live, but what we can tell you, it contains:
Action
The supernatural
A bisexual badass
The character in goes as far back as 2016. This will be her first published story, but Paul's been working on material for her since before Meouch came up in conversation with Gareth and before Limit Break Comics was even a concept.
Stay tuned for updates on the anthology and (hopefully) more stories about one of Paul's oldest comic characters who's been threatening to show herself for a decade!
Events
We have one more show confirmed for 2026 so far:
October 2026
Octocon, Clayton Hotel Cork City, October 3rd - 4th - Paul attending
We're still waiting to find out what's happening with DCAF after the closure of The Complex, the venue they had signed on with for another year shortly before they announced imminent eviction. We'll keep you posted for those who like to attend events in Dublin!
We're also waiting on applications to open for other events, and for responses to come in about others, so watch this spot.
***
This one came in a little bit late, but we couldn't miss a month of the LB Bulletin! We'll be back again at the end of February, ahead of Dublin Comic Con!
