At Open House Festival we are supporters of local musicians, artists and creatives. And so, we're delighted to tell you a little more about the exceptionally talented The Darkling Air in this week's festival feature.
Back in 2016, they released their debut album Untamed & Beloved with a show in The Walled Garden as part of that year's festival. That record and its lead single Storyline introduced their distinctive sound with atmospheric arrangements and intricate harmonies. A further two critically-acclaimed albums followed.
Ten years on and The Darkling Air return to The Walled Garden with much to celebrate and for the first time in a decade will perform as a nine-piece ensemble. Rachel McCarthy and Michael Keeney will be joined by songwriter David C. Clements, festival favourites Jackie Rainey on guitar and Emma Doran on drums, plus Arco String Quartet.
This will be a very special afternoon of totally immersive music in a stunning venue as some of Bangor's finest come together to celebrate a decade of The Darkling Air.
