SILK ROAD SUPPER CLUB

CHINESE NEW YEAR

Celebrate the dawn of the Lunar New Year with an immersive feast as we welcome the Year of the Horse — a symbol of movement, freedom, vitality, and new journeys.

Inspired by centuries of Silk Road trade and cultural exchange, this supper club brings together the vibrant flavours, rituals, and stories of Chinese New Year in a beautifully curated dining experience.

Teaming up with Neighourhood Cafe, gather around a shared table laden with dishes rich in symbolism and seasonal spirit. Our menu, curated by chef David Lee from Fired, weaves traditional elements with contemporary flair, honouring the way Chinese New Year is celebrated across regions — from northern dumplings to southern longevity noodles, steamed fish for abundance, and sweet rice balls for harmony.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

A curated multi-course Lunar New Year feast – Indulge in symbolic Chinese New Year dishes, each layered with flavour and meaning, celebrating prosperity, longevity, abundance, and reunion.

A celebratory welcome drink – Begin the evening with a handcrafted Lunar-inspired cocktail to welcome good fortune and fresh beginnings.

Chinese Lion Dance – Be welcomed into the celebration with the vibrant energy of a traditional Lion Dance

Lantern-lit dining atmosphere – Dine beneath warm lantern light with red and gold accents, creating a festive yet intimate setting inspired by New Year celebrations across China and the Silk Road.

A sweet finale of reunion – End the night with traditional Chinese tea ceremony and lunar cakes, symbolising harmony, togetherness, and a hopeful start to the year ahead.

What is the Silk Road Supper Club?

Launched by ArtsEkta, the creators of the Belfast Mela, the Silk Road Supper Club is a catering programme that offers employment and skills development to new migrant communities. The supper club explores an ancient network of trading routes that stretches through the ages and across half the world, from China in the east to Persia and on to the Mediterranean in the west. All profits generated go towards supporting future employment pathways into hospitality.
