Wishing you and your circle the most wonderful Holiday Period

Thank you so much for your support in 2021.

We have had a very busy year! A few highlighted moments have been

  • In April we hired our very first employee, Catherine Muldoon, as Coordinator. You can meet the whole team here.
  • In May we launched our first ever eBook in collaboration with Code Monitoring NI and BFLGUK. You can access the Baby Grow guide to the WHO Code here.
  • In June we celebrated Volunteer Week and launched our call out for Volunteers for Breastival 2021. There's no need to wait until we do our call outs- if you are interested in volunteering in 2022 contact us via social media or via he...@breastival.co.uk
  • June was a busy month with our very first Baby Grow Book Club Conversation with session. We had the fantastic Carol Smyth on to talk about her book "Why Infant Reflux Matters" and you can watch it back here, listen in on the Breastival Podcast or catch it on Pinter and Martin Radio.
  • On the 1st of August we kicked off Breastival 2021 with an incredible opening speech from Breastfeeding Advocate and First Lady of Ireland Sabina Higgins. If you missed it you can watch it again here, and in fact if you missed any of the session during Breastival, you can watch any of the recorded sessions on our YouTube Page.
  • On the 1st of August we also unveiled our Breastfeeding Mother Balloon Sculpture Designed by Darren Mortiboy and created by Darren and Britain's Got Talent Sensation Ryan Tracey of Duff Balloons at Tempest in Omagh's Showgrounds.
  • We had our Big Latch on with 411 people taking part and announced our Badass Breastfeeding Mother of the Year as the incredible Ruth Young.
  • Of course we also launched our amazing Breastival Breastfeeding Advocacy Tool Kit during World Breastfeeding Week.
  • In September we had our Baby Grow Book Club Conversation with the incredible Dr. Wendy Jones and discussed her book "Why Mothers' Medication Matters".
  • December saw our coordinator Catherine present at the All Party Parliamentary Group on Infant feeding and Inequalities about the Breastfeeding Landscape of Northern Ireland
We have so much more planned for 2022 and we want to wish you a healthy, peaceful and joyful Christmas and look forward to an exciting 2022.
