QFT favourite Josh O'Connor is back with a story of starting over, James McAvoy makes his directorial debut and we've got another great film from Brazil. Director Mark Jenkin joins us for a preview of Rose of Nevada. And this week Reach brings brilliant films about the world around us to QFT and more.

“Can you even be a cowboy without cows?” After wildfires take his ranch, a cowboy named Dusty (Josh O'Connor in another brilliant performance) winds up in a FEMA camp, finding community with others who lost homes, including his daughter and ex-wife. A gentle and honest portrait of a man trying to figure out how to build a new life.

California Schemin'
James McAvoy's directorial debut is filled with irrepressible energy. It tells the true story of a couple of lads from Dundee who conned the music industry by pretending to be an established Californian rap duo.

The Blue Trail
One of our programmer's top picks from Berlin last year, this Brazilian drama takes us to a near future where the elderly are sent to isolated colonies. But 77-year-old Tereza still has things to do, breaking out for adventure.

Director Mark Jenkin joins us for a special preview of his latest film. He follows Bait and Enys Men with the story of a fishing boat that reappears in its Cornish harbour after 30 years lost at sea, and, with it, maybe the chance to change the village's fortunes. Featuring George MacKay and Callum Turner.

Plight of the Bumble Bee
This captivating short film takes you into the world of bees and their profound connection to Irish religion, folklore, and biodiversity.
