Ist October - My husband were staying down in Cork with our eldest son and his family. We went for a walk with our son in the beautiful Ballincollig Regional Park .
4th October - I was in West Cork with my husband and 3 of our grandchildren. We met up with our daughter and my youngest sister and one of my nieces. We went for a walk between Owenahincha and the Warren in Rosscarbery. It was a blustery day but we enjoyed it.
5th October - I was back at home and I was delighted to find that a medal and certificate had been posted to me for doing the 100 mile walk during September for Women’s Aid.
12th October - Our youngest son was over from The USA for several days and stayed with us before he went back. We went for a pleasant walk in Lanesborough and
Ballyleague Co. Longford on that Sunday.
15th October: It was the 20th anniversary of my father dying.
Myself and some creative ladies made a mummy scarecrow for Halloween events in Longford.
24th October - I voted in the Irish Presidential Election. Catherine Connolly is the new president of the republic of Ireland.
