Hello Studio NIreland,

This week, we’re going behind the scenes with one of our very own reviewers: Heather T., aka Triplet Mama Reviews! Having completed 10+ reviews in April and earned nominations from fellow reviewers, Heather is our Spring Reviewer Raffle winner and a dedicated Discovery reviewer. Get to know Heather below, before diving into this week’s recommendations!

How did you get into reviewing?

I read every single day and always have. When I was in high school, my nose was quite literally always in a book as I walked the halls. A teacher once asked me what page I was on, and I replied, “That was yesterday’s book. I’m already onto a new one!” Book reviewing started casually, just by giving recommendations in Facebook romance groups to help readers get out of a slump. From there, it naturally expanded to Goodreads and Amazon. I really wanted to help spread the word about incredible indie authors, not just the mainstream ones. What keeps me coming back is watching authors grow and succeed. There is nothing better than joining an author's Facebook page at the ground level and seeing them build their audience and bloom into a success story.

What are some recent books you particularly enjoyed?

House of Snakes & Vipers by KC Klein, Souls We Rip by DMR, and The Peacock’s Legacy by Sasha Stevens…They felt like cinematic experiences playing in my head. I felt completely immersed, almost like I was a character in the story. The settings and characters felt so real that when the books ended, it took me days to recover. Truly unforgettable reads.

What do you wish more readers knew about indie books?

Give them a chance. Join online reading groups or ask your local librarian. Mine has actually started championing indie authors, which is amazing. Indie books deserve more attention, and readers play such an important role in helping authors launch and grow their careers.

What do you reach for when you need your next read?

I am a reverse harem reader first and foremost. Beyond that, I’m always reaching for romance, but the type depends on my mood. I also love omegaverse and would love to see more of it on Reedsy. I did come across one recently and was so excited. Reedsy has also helped open my mind to the horror genre. It has definitely scared me, but in a good way, and really sparked my interest.

Share some fun facts about yourself!

I work in corporate America, I am a mom of 11-year-old triplets, and I am a huge sports fan. You can definitely hear me on the sidelines at my kids’ soccer games. I get very into it.

We encourage you to explore more of Heather's Discovery reviews, or check out her Instagram page. And now, on to this week’s book recommendations.
