Your Artwork Copy: How Accurate Is It?
How accurate is your digital archive? Many artists work from files that fail to capture the nuance, depth, and true colour of their original pieces. In this professional development session, Tony Murray examines the technical standards required to produce world-class artwork copies.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Technical Literacy: Understanding resolution and its impact on print quality.
- Workflow Integrity: The essential role of colour management from capture to print.
- Validation: Utilising Proof Prints to ensure digital-to-analogue consistency.
- Future-Proofing: Industry-standard archiving techniques to protect your portfolio.
This webinar is for artists looking to professionalise their practice, ensuring that every digital reproduction is a true reflection of their creative vision.
Tony Murray
Tony Murray is a full-time photographer and fine art printer since 2005, graduating from Trinity College Dublin with engineering and maths and has over 20 years international industry experience. Tony is a self-taught photographer and prints all his own work; learning his craft over the past 30 years by producing his prints in the traditional darkroom on fibre-based silver gelatin papers. Since 2011, he has used the archival pigment ink process, printing his images on fine art handmade and archival papers.
In 2011 he set up Murray Imaging Studios: a recognised Hahnemüehle Worldwide Certified Studio, specialising in artwork digitisation and fine art pigment printing. Tony works with many of Ireland’s leading artists and is currently digitising the permanent collection of the Butler Gallery in Kilkenny.
