Hi Stu,

While we've been looking forward to a packed December and Christmas programme at The Court House, there is much more to come before the festive season. This week, we have original live music from Irish folk and traditional singer Niall McCabe plus shows from Wasted Talent when both the indoor ground floor and outdoor bars will be open, and a Sunday afternoon with The 1977.

Later in the month, we have a number of events that promise a real treat for the senses with Robert Neill Wine joining us for a "festive favourites" wine tasting event. We're also delighted to welcome Joery Castel back to the kitchen and look forward to an evening of exquisite seafood with in-house chef Megan Lennon.

Read on for more information and ticket links and don't forget to keep an eye on our events listings for upcoming shows and all your favourite Court House regulars.

We hope to see you soon!

ITALIAN

TRATTORIA NIGHT

THU 20 NOVEMBER • DOORS 7.00PM

Join us for an evening inspired by Joery Castel’s travels in Italy. Think of honest Italian dishes as you would find in a traditional Italian Trattoria, with a little bit of magic from Joery. Think Caprese salad in a different way, red onion and smoked salmon pizzette with Irish caviar, classic saltimbocca with polenta and gremolata beans, and of course it wouldn’t feel like a trattoria if we didn’t finish with a classic tiramisu. Includes a welcome drink served at 7.00pm.

JOHNNY HASH

SAT 15 NOVEMBER • DOORS 8.00PM

Following their recent sold-out show, Johnny Hash – “the great wee band from Belfast” – are back. The acoustic folk-punk seven-piece get together for the joy of playing old Irish ballads in their own unique style. You may have heard several members of the outfit play in Doghouse Ska but you probably haven’t heard tunes like ‘Star Of The County Down’ or ‘The Leaving Of Liverpool’ performed quite like this. Don’t expect to hear anything from the “Man in Black” though...

SCROOGE

WED 3 DECEMBER • DOORS 7.30PM

With an introduction by Allan Esler Smith, great nephew of director Brian Desmond Hurst. Consistently ranked one of the all-time best Christmas movies, this 1951 classic stars the incomparable Alistair Sim. And was directed by Belfast-born cinematic genius, Brian Desmond Hurst. Even if you’re not big on Christmas movies, Scrooge is a delightful surprise. Naturally we will screen the original black and white cut rather than the garishly colourised version.
