Break into TV writing faster with the Shore Scripts TV Writer Mentorship Program—an exclusive opportunity designed to help you get staffed or sell your pilot.

With weekly small group sessions with Industry Leaders and prep calls and support from the Shore Scripts staff, each session in this unique 8 week program will help writers move toward working in television.

  • 3 Winners each in the ½-Hour and 1-Hour Pilot categories (6 total) will win spots in our career-changing TV Writers Mentorship Program.
  • 5 Additional Finalists in each of the ½-Hour and 1-Hour Pilot categories will be invited to an online mixer as part of the TV Writer Mentorship Program.
  • All Winners and Finalists will receive 1:1 support from our Writer Development Manager.
  • All entries will receive short feedback on an aspect of their script that is working and an area that could use further development.

WEEK ONE

Meet the Shore Scripts staff, get to know fellow winners, get your questions answered, and dive into notes sessions on your winning scripts.

WEEK TWO

Industry leader Karen Horne will focus on presenting yourself as a writer, pitching your work, and navigating the industry.

WEEK THREE

Meet with reps including manager David Katsman of Entertainment 360 to talk about how to take meetings, how they decide which writers to take on, and more.

WEEK FOUR

Hear your work read aloud, meet some incredible artists, and celebrate your winning pilot script!

WEEK FIVE

Meet with Duane Luu, Director of Drama Development at PEACOCK to discuss what it looks like to take meetings with development executives at major studios.

WEEK SIX

Each writer will have 1:1 meetings with working TV writers, reps, and/or production companies – based on your script and your individual goals.

WEEK SEVEN

Legendary Showrunner Beth Schwartz shares what really goes into showrunner meetings, what she looks for for in writers, and more.

WEEK EIGHT

Give your perfected elevator pitches to the Shore Script staff, TV Pilot finalists, and some exciting industry guests.

BONUS SESSION

Meet with Showrunner Jess Brownell (BRIDGERTON) and get an inside look at what it takes to run one of the world’s biggest TV phenomena. Learn how she navigates producing a global hit, leading a writers’ room, and bringing a period drama to – plus, gain insight into what she looks for in writers.
