| Date: 26/06/2026 - 22/08/2026 Location: Aran Islands, Teach Nan Phaidi Restaurant Gina O'Connor is delighted to present her solo exhibition Lá Breá Álainn (Lovely Fine Day) at Teach Nan Phaidi Restaurant on Inis Mór Island, County Galway. This exciting collection of oil paintings by West of Ireland artist Gina O’Connor is a celebration of a typical Irish Lá Breá Álainn. This exhibition showcases Gina’s dynamic style, inspired by her exhilarating experiences in Inis Mór and Connemara. The winds, colours and light of the West have a tossing-and-turning effect on the human soul, and it is with great joy that Gina recreates this in her paintings. | Date: 23/06/2026 Location: Dun Laoghaire , Ferry Terminal 'This England' is a new book by Dublin documentary photographer Barry Delaney launching on June 23 at Ferry Terminal, Dun Laoghaire on the 10 year anniversary of Brexit. Barry spent many trips travelling throughout provincial parts of Britain during the Brexit years documenting life in its towns and cities, and in particular the people. The forward to the book is by Dublin author Ronan Hession. |

| Date: 25/06/2026 Location: Dublin, International Centre for the Image Join us at the International Centre for the Image to mark the launch of a new publication by Setanta Books, Stray Sod by artist Maria Lax, who will be joined in conversation by Jonny Dillon, Interim Director of the National Folklore Collection, University College Dublin. Stray Sod investigates the phenomenon of the same name in Irish folklore: enchanted patches of earth that will lead astray whoever steps on them. Inspired by first-hand accounts found in the National Folklore Collection, Maria Lax reimagines rural Irish landscapes through this otherworldly lens. Tickets are free, booking required. | Date: 22/06/2026 - 05/07/2026 Location: Bray, Signal Arts Centre Mary Butler’s most recent works include assemblages, sculptures, collages, and arrangements, all deeply rooted in her commitment to sustainability. She creates pieces, almost exclusively from recycled materials—wood, textiles, and paper, allowing the materials themselves to guide her process. Her practice reflects the tactile honesty of analogue making; each piece emerges through the interaction of physical materials, intentional processes, and natural progressions. |

| Date: 24/06/2026 - 18/07/2026 Location: Dundalk, An Táin Arts Centre This playful, embodied art-based research moves through muscle, skin and memory to explore how gender identity, self-expression and self-actualization are experienced among individuals practicing recreational pole dancing in Ireland. Here, pole dancing becomes a site of discovery, creation and expression of both the individual and collective socio-political self. The solid and the ephemeral dance together through sculpture, words, images, light, sound and colour. The exhibition is accompanied with live performance art. This art-based research is funded by Research Ireland's Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme. Opening Launch Wednesday 24th June 7pm. |

| Date: 27/06/2026 - 22/08/2026 Location: Drogheda, Droichead Arts Centre Bridge Street Studios celebrates 30th Anniversary with 'The Things That Matter Most are the Things that can’t be Seen'. Nestled in a historic 250-year-old grain store, Bridge Street Studios has been a nurturing ground for both emerging and established artists for 30 years. As one of the oldest and largest independent artistic collectives in Ireland, the Studios have been an integral part of the town's creative fabric since their formation in 1996. The 'The Things that Matter Most are the Things That Can't Be Seen' exhibition features the works of eight artists and craftspeople all based in Bridge Street Studios, including Orlaith Cullinane, Rachel Tinniswood, Mary Cowan, Suzanne Carroll, Caóilfíonn Murphy O'Hanlon, Orla Barry, Sarah McKenna, and Fiona Quigley. |

| Date: 25/06/2026 Location: Askeaton, Askeaton Community Hall Part of Askeaton’s WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD 2026. Join Tom Cassidy of Fola Archaeology and Heritage Services for an illustrated talk on the life and history of the Second World War in West Limerick. For many years, Tom has researched pillboxes in the Askeaton hinterland. Small defence structures made from mass concrete found throughout the area, pillboxes were built in the 1940s as guard posts, allowing Irish soldiers to watch over strategic positions in the event of military invasion on the Shannon Estuary. In light of current debates about Ireland’s neutrality, these structures remain as a poignant reminder of the threat and pervasiveness of war today. |
